Fly Legacy Aviation is proud of our summer day camp and are ready for students of all ages! We are open for kids and adults for summer day camp and weekend programs. Learn about the wonderful world of aviation through hands-on experience, including an aerospace STEM camp and including the following:
- Perform simple experiments that demonstrate how planes fly!
- Build and fly gliders!
- Learn all about a career paths to careers in aviation!
- Fly an aircraft simulator at one of the country’s premier flight schools!

Gregory P. Kennedy
CAMP COUNSELOR
Gregory P. Kennedy is an aerospace professional with more than 40 years’ experience in aviation and space museums, spaceflight training, and NASA. He is a former Associate Curator for Manned Space Flight at the National Air and Space Museum, Director of the International Space Hall of Fame in Alamogordo, New Mexico, and Director of the American Airlines C. R. Smith Museum in Fort Worth, Texas. At the National Aerospace Training and Research (NASTAR) Center in Southampton, PA, he was Director of Education Programs and Space Training. In the latter position, he trained Spaceflight Participants for commercial suborbital space flights. Mr. Kennedy is the author of eight books and dozens of articles on rocketry and space flight. He has also presented numerous papers on spaceflight history and aerospace education at national and international conferences.

Our Flight School Courses
Join us today and share your passion for flight!
You will have the opportunity to tour and experience our facility and aircrafts to see firsthand all of the aspects that make us an exceptional flight training center.
Students learn to safely operate an aircraft, covering aviation knowledge, regulations, weather, navigation, communications, and real-world flying scenarios.
Take your flying to the next level by operating safely in low visibility using real-aircraft experience and other simulator sessions and cockpit instruments.
Students fly in low visibility, relying on instruments with in-aircraft instruction, through precision flying, navigation and communication.
Teach and mentor future pilots as a Certified Flight Instructor, while sharpening your own skills, professionalism, and decision-making.
Pilot
Turn your flight experience into a professional career, with a minimum of 250 total flight hours required, focusing on advanced maneuvers.
Rating
Students prepare for charter, corporate, and airline opportunities with a focus on operating a twin-engine aircraft and real-world scenarios.
Training
Students ready to fully commit and earn a rating in a focused, efficient timeline. Our FAA Part 141 syllabus blends proven industry methods with our own approach.

September 2020 – My 11 year old son loved his experience at the Young Pilot’s Camp. The program offered plenty of hands on STEM based learning that he throughly enjoyed. Of course his favorite part was the one on one flight lesson at the end of the course. His teacher, Greg, and his pilot instructor, Jim, were both great with the kids. December 2019 – My Champions attended Aviation Camp at @Fly Legacy Aviation this month and had fun learning and gained a deeper understanding about how airplanes fly with their instructor, Mr. Greg. They made a new friend, learn new terminology, tested different gliders, witnessed people coming and going on their private/chartered jets and helicopters. The highlight of their time spent at Fly Legacy Aviation was having the opportunity to fly and land an aircraft with Pilot Jim. January 2020 – Wow! The weekend kids program was AMAZING! Our boy loved it. LOVED. IT. Greg was a very patient and kind instructor and all the kids seemed thrilled to be there. It wasn’t clear from the website but it turned even the weekend program offers the kids a chance to go up in a plane themselves! Unfortunately, the weather didn’t cooperate but they got extra flight simulator time and a chance to come back another day for the flight. If you have a child interested in planes or flying you should definitely sign up for this.

January 2020 – My son just participated in a weekend long aviation camp for kids and he loved it. He learned the basics of flight and so much more. Each day was packed with experiments, projects, hands on and classroom based learning about physics, history of aviation, space flight, helicopters, careers in aviation, and weather. They got to use the flight simulator twice and a flight was planned, but rescheduled due to weather. We are truly grateful for the opportunity and we hope to come back and do the week long version of the camp this summer!
