To start learning how to fly, we suggest scheduling our Introductory Lesson. The lesson lasts about 15 minutes, complete with preparation time of the aircraft and displaying how to properly handle the plane, giving you about 25 minutes of flying time. The Private Pilot Course is the first course that all new, incoming pilot are obligated to take, which follows a strict protocol approved by the FAA. You will be working with one instructor for the duration and will have a personalized schedule based on your availability and desired pace. Learn more
We offer flexible scheduling that meets your needs, which give students an opportunity to learn at their own pace. Some students complete this Private Pilot course in under 2 months, others take bit longer, depending on the pace they choose. Standard lessons are 3 hours long, which you can schedule on all days of the week, from 7 am to 7 pm.
The full Private Pilot course costs around $18,000 which don’t include the book and exam fees, and we give our students the option to pay prior or as they go – whatever suits their needs. If you pay as you go, a 3-hour lesson will be around $400. The exact amount is dependent on how much flying versus ground school you would do in each lesson.
The Commercial Pilot License program consists of completing the Private Pilot, Instrument Rating, and CPL courses. As a student, you will be working thoroughly with a single instructor for your duration and will have a personalized schedule based on individual availability and desired pace.
With the Commercial Pilot License, you will be able to earn an income as a pilot, however, it should be noted that to become an airline pilot, it is required that you must complete the training for Multi-Engine, and in addition, log a total of 1500 flight hours.
A quick and rewarding way to achieve the number of hours required by airlines is to become a Certified Flight Instructor. To become a CFI, you must complete the accompanying course. If you choose to go this route, upon completing the CFI course, you can enroll into our Airline Cadet Program. This program offers our students the fastest way to work as commercial airline pilots, as well as offering partial tuition reimbursement for prior training. In the meantime, you would also be working as an instructor at Fly Legacy Aviation while building the required flight time for the airline.

Yes, you can finance your training through Stratus Financing.
Yes, we work with students from around all over the world. We offer rolling enrollments so you can start at any point in the aviation journey. After you fill out an application we will begin the process of issuing you an i-20 form, based on which you will be granted an M-1 student visa.
Currently, we do not offer housing, but our school is located within walking distance of several rental apartment complexes.
Each of the aircrafts in our fleet is carefully and meticulously maintained according to all manufacturer and FAA regulations.
Our fleet includes Diamond DA42 and Piper Pilot 100i.
Rental
